About the Business

The industrial revolution changed Clerkenwell hugely. This area of London became the centre for the printing industry and some of the 'old-school' still exist. Avenue Litho is proud to be amongst them and the new residents including a wealth of design professionals, high-end furniture showrooms, great restaurants and London's leading Architectural practices. We really do love where we work!

It was in 1979 when Avenue Litho was first established as a family print business - when machine plates were made from film and planned by hand. Back then, a single set of plates could take up to a week to create and end up costing just as much as the print! Not much use for the tight deadlines we work to today! It was the famous Jazz Club Ronnie Scotts that got us started with printing their weekly magazine.
