At MPS we specialise in the printing of NCR Sets, Pads & Books. One of the owners Paul Bates is a 4th generation printer, his family started in the printing industry in 1915 and now his daughter has started working for the company. What is NCR - NCR stands for No Carbon Required. If you remember like me the sheets of blue carbon paper that you inserted in between 2 pieces of paper and then the image you wrote on the top sheet would transfer to the bottom sheet. NCR replaced this system. NCR Sets - NCR sets are produced using several sheets of paper - a top sheet, and several sheets underneath creating a multipart form, which are then glued on one edge.
Sets can be made of 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 sheets. NCR Pads - NCR pads are created by gathering 50 multipart sets and gluing them together into a pad with a strong strawboard back. 50 is the standard quantity for a pad, but we can use as little or as many as you would like. NCR Books - NCR books are produced in the same ways as the Pads.
