Printers in Crawley just came across an amazing article on the BBC news website, it is an absolute must read; "A 3D printer-created lower jaw has been fitted to an 83-year-old woman's face in what doctors say is the first operation of its kind."
The operation only took four hours which apparently was one fifth of the time regular reconstructive surgery would have taken and after waking from the anaesthetic the woman spoke a few words, the next day she could swallow. In other words, a much quicker recovery time than standard.
